Alice Wilmes

Therapist (MA, MPCC)

Alice Wilmes Counselling offers psychological support for clients who are navigating the emotional and relational complexities often connected to weight management. My work is trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded in approaches such as IFS and EMDR. I support clients in exploring underlying patterns, emotional triggers, self-worth, shame, stress, and protective coping strategies.

Rather than focusing only on behaviour change, counselling provides a space to better understand the inner experiences that may contribute to struggles with food, body image, motivation, and self-care.

I offer individual counselling both in person and online.

Cheryl Otterbein

Therapist (RCS, MTC, C.ChtM, HT)

Cheryl is a trauma specialist, supervisor, and instructor with advanced expertise in emotional and dissociative eating, trauma‑linked weight challenges, and concurrent mental‑health and substance‑use disorders.  She helps clients understand the deeper emotional and nervous‑system patterns that drive overeating, bingeing, food avoidance, and chronic weight cycling. Cheryl’s approach blends trauma‑informed counselling, hypnotherapy, and nervous‑system repatterning to support clients in rebuilding internal safety, reducing emotional overwhelm, and creating a healthier relationship with food and their bodies.

Her work is grounded in compassion, science, and the belief that weight struggles are not failures of willpower — they are survival responses shaped by lived experience. Cheryl provides a safe, non‑judgmental space where clients can heal the roots of their eating patterns and move toward sustainable, empowered change.
